Laptop Requirements
Minimum Specifications
To ensure compatibility and functionality, please ensure that your laptop meets the following minimum requirements:
- Operating System: Windows 11 or macOS
- Memory (RAM): 8GB
- Screen Size: 11.6”
- Storage: 128GB Hard Drive
- Processor (CPU): Intel i3 or AMD Ryzen 3 equivalent
- Wi-Fi Capable (5GHz)
Upgraded Specifications
Some subjects (Senior Technology (Design), and Design) use specialised software which may require additional hardware to run efficiently on a laptop, for example, Adobe Creative Cloud programs. If your student is required to install and use higher end software programs on their BYOD laptop, it is recommended (but not mandatory) to consider a laptop with a larger RAM capacity (e.g., 16GB) and/or a more powerful CPU (e.g., Intel i7 or AMD Ryzen 7 equivalent).
Please be aware that alternative hardware specifications, such as different CPUs, are acceptable as long as they deliver performance comparable to the minimum specifications.

- Chromebooks
- Linux Devices
- Android Tablets or iPads

We also offer the option to purchase a laptop through one of the BYOD portals below. This is not a requirement, but simply an option to assist families with purchasing a suitable device.
