Since opening its doors in 1987, Bray Park State High School has been a place where students have been challenged to grow, discover their passions, and create lifelong memories. As we look ahead to celebrating our 40th anniversary in 2027, we are proud to reflect on the rich history and traditions that have shaped our school community over the past four decades.
In 2026, we celebrate another significant milestone, 35 years since our very first Year 12 class graduated in 1991. Those pioneering students, who began as Year 8 students when the school first opened in 1987, helped establish the spirit and traditions that continue to define Bray Park State High School today.
Over the years, both our school and the local community have experienced remarkable growth. What began with a single Year 8 cohort has evolved into a thriving school of nearly 2,000 students across Years 7 to 12. Alongside this growth, generations of students and staff have contributed to a proud legacy built on excellence, opportunity, and community spirit.
Bray Park State High School has been home to many cherished programs, events, and traditions that have created lasting memories for students and staff alike. From school musicals and the Medieval Fayre to sporting carnivals, performing arts ensembles, leadership programs, and international opportunities, Bray has always offered students a wide range of experiences beyond the classroom.
As education has evolved, so too has Bray. The school has continually expanded its curriculum to provide pathways that prepare students for success in an ever-changing world. Through a diverse range of academic subjects, vocational education and training (VET) certificates, school-based apprenticeships and traineeships, industry partnerships, and opportunities in the arts, sport, STEM, and leadership, Bray has empowered generations of students to pursue their goals with confidence.
At the heart of it all is our motto, Challenge The Unknown. For nearly 40 years, this philosophy has inspired students to embrace new opportunities, overcome challenges, and strive for personal excellence.
