Junior School

In year 7, students will have the opportunity to develop solutions aligned with the Australian Curriculum across two key contaxts: Food & Fibre and Design Technologies. Students will complete one term of study in each of the contexts.

In Year 9, students have the option to select from a range of Design and Technologies electives. These include Design, Materials Specialisations (Workshop), Food Specialisation (Hospitality), and Food and Fibre Production (Home Economics). Each subject is aligned with the Australian Curriculum: Design and Technologies achievement standards. Electives are semester-long, and students may choose different Design and Technologies subjects for Semester 1 and/or Semester 2. 


In Year 10, students deepen their understanding of the Design and Technologies curriculum through year-long electives that prepare them for senior subjects and future career pathways. Available courses include Design; Food Specialisation (Hospitality); Food and Fibre Production (Home Economics); and Engineering (Workshop). Additionally, students can explore the VET sector by completing a Certificate I in Manufacturing Pathways, earning QCE points toward their senior certification.

Senior school delivers a comprehensive suite of pathways - General, Applied, and VET - designed to prepare students for their chosen career or further study:

  • General: Design
  • Applied: Construction; Early Childhood Studies
  • VET: Certificate II in Hospitality, Certificate II in Engineering Pathways, Certificate II in Automotive Preparations, Certificate II in Furniture Making and Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care

Each program spans both years of senior study.

Senior School (Years 11/12) offers a wide range of VET qualifications which include: Certificate II in Engineering, Certificate II in Automotive Vocational Preparation, Certificate II in Hospitality and Certificate II in Furniture Making. Design and Technologies also offers Early Childhood Studies as an Applied​subject and Design as a General subject. All subjects run for two years.
